Please object to this NEW scheme by the 6th December 2024 to protect our greenbelt and best most versatile agricultural land!
Even if you have objected before, please object again as this is a NEW planning application!

(please make sure you include your postal address or it may not count)
We have added a couple of new articles to the News section (see below) as examples of the growing support of solar, but absolutely not at the cost of good quality agricultural land, especially in the greenbelt.
The only reason the solar project is being proposed on Sperberry Hill is because the developer will make more money due to its proximity to the Wymondley substation which makes to cheaper to connect.
Even the NFU, previously a supporter of the Sperberry Hill Solar Farm, have declared, in a recent interview, that solar farms should not be built on good quality farm land.
